17 years of Place

Wangdue Phodrang -- The Fortress on the neck of  Giant sleeping Elephant
I was born in a countryside place far from where i currently reside with my parents. For 17 years *without counting my University year*  i have lived here in this so called "Windy Phodrang" as the local residents and people for other regions call it. It is not just a name given for the sake of giving but due to the Strong gush of winds that this place have.
I have seen how it developed and heard all stories that it relates with. Fro example like
:->  Uma Lengo - The retard but Sweet Lover of the Mermaid that resides in the River
:->   The Octopus dragged out of the river and killed
:->   How the Bridge is constructed over the River
:->   The Demon that resides en-route to Trongsa
:->   The existence of the Fortress
and so on .... I truly believe the story of Uma Lengo , i still have a faint vision of him. I remember seeing him in-front of our house and my dad giving him foods and other stuffs. I remember people telling about his late night and early morning voyage down from the river.

Wangdue Phodrang, The wonderful fort that is built on the hill top of a mountain that looks like a giant sleeping elephant is a magnificent place. Decades have passed, it once was know as the cleanest place in Bhutan.  Even though it was a small ruckus houses with a little space for everything, it was is and will be the hub for traveling towards East.
Now the new town takes up a beautiful location by the magnificent river and in the midst of paddy fields. The new town seems to be far but i hope it will come to life when the time is set for it. Constructions over this region is steady and for now the PunaTshang chu Project takes up the population of the locality....

I lived in a place of Sha-DarGay, the largest Dzongkhag by SqKms in Bhutan. I am sure it to come into life along side Thimphu. I look forward for the Tunnel connecting Thimphu and Wangdue which would make the distance short. It would make the next destination of the Government

And in the end, it's not the years in your life that count. It's the life in your years.

Was a Indian Friends Birthday
A birthday is something that we all wait and long for but it becomes the best moment when you get to enjoy with your friends. Create those wonderful memories which will be with you forever. Its 31st July, at around 7pm that we all came together to celebrate your birthday.
Yeah you were one of the first Telugu friend that i had over the last 4 years and still you are. You have been a good person helping me out with some educational problems. Your birthday definitely marked that friends no know boundary, it was the moment of your 20th. I Wish you a warm birthday that is already over but still wanna keep this to be part of written blog. I know we will go our ways once we are done with the degree but we will be friends.  Damn i can't believe that you guys eat more then expected and it was fun seeing you all to eat more. Indra was infact one of the friends with us all the time. Thank you Anudeep and ya all.

This is going to be my college memories with you guys. Having those birthday treats and all. I was and felt funny when you guys started to plush and did a lil cake party on the face. Wish i had this pic. A persons memory is not something that can disappear easily rather will be there 4ever. All i am gonna do is it was indeed a  good birthday remembrance
